The North Latitude 45 Design and Education Group is joinly initiated by School of Achitecture and Design, Harbin Institute of Technology, together with the Department of Architecture and Design of Politecnico di Torino (Italy) ,  the Innovation School of Glasgow School of Art (UK) , and other institutions.

Located along the golden corridor of global civilization, the 45th parallel north bears the historical mission of facilitating East-West cultural exchange and promoting sustainable development. The alliance aims to address global challenges—such as climate adaptation, cross-cultural communication, sustainable urban development, and ecological governance—through intercontinental collaboration. Together, we seek to explore innovative models of intercontinental cooperation in service of sustainable development for all humanity.
